Pan Light and Pink Saturday!

The Pan Light

Here is the latest version of the pan light. It is constructed of all UL listed parts. It is suitable for workshops, basements, garages, barns, sheds and a wide variety of indoor locations. It has a rugged and durable steel reflector screwed into a durable solid brass antique style Leviton "Fat Boy" turn key socket. It features a porcelain incandescent socket which requires a 200 watt max bulb ready to install, prewired for 120V. It has a 10 foot cord. I can customize one for you or you can have the normal looking one like the one above.
If you are interested in this light please leave me a comment or if you want one customized for you, please email me at handbuiltretroelectric@gmail.com. All comments from my blog will be sent to my regular email. Thanks. I accept,

Happy Pink Saturday!

It is understandable that I don't have very many pink things amongst my positions.
However, I did acquire this pink tube radio from Annie's Antiques.
It is a Sear's Silvertone from about the 1950's.
I paid $10 for it.

A Schnauzer for Dogs on Thursday!

I have a Miniature Schnauzer.  His name is Miles.  He is seven years old.  I drove many Miles to get him.  I thought "Hey, that's a Great Name!"   He is the 4th schnauzer that I had.  My  first dog BusterBoy of the Sterling Woods was a diabetic for four years and passed away at the age of  8 years old.   (I was only 4.)  My second dog Dusty Roads of Ramsey lived to the age of 12.  Meanwhile we acquired Griffey.  He was a feisty little black schnauzer.   We left him with my Dad when we moved along.  Which brings me to Miles.  He really is the best of the bunch.  Mostly because he is my dog.   When the puppies were let out of the pen he bee-lined it straight to me and wanted  up.   How could I not choose him?   Now he sleeps with me at night and waits for me to come home from school.   He is my Best Friend!

Pan Light

What do you think about this pan light? I find it to be the perfect light for many applications.
Currently, I am using it over my workbench. It is very reflective and adjustable for height. This one has a plug on the end, but you can have one hard wired, as well. If you would like one custom built for you, you can contact me by leaving a comment. I have made some extra Pan lights which I can customize for you. $40.00 +Shipping. I have 2 choices of cords available, black rubber or a reproduction grayish gold cotton covered cord ($20 extra for cotton). Cord is 10 feet long. This light has a new from package, hard to find, solid brass Leviton "Fat Boy" turn key socket to add age and style to the light. I can paint the metal "Pan" shade to the color you want. I do take PayPal.

See my other lights that I will be adding soon like the "Bare Bulb Basement Light". It is a pendant which has a Leviton "fat boy" turn key socket on 1½ feet of reproduction gray twisted cloth covered cord. It has a white paintable tin canopy that fits into any ciling light electrical box.
